Cave

In a rath (KE058-102----). The rectangular stone-lined entrance (Wth 0.9m; H c. 0.6m) to the Man-made underground passage is in the NE quadrant of the rath, at the S end of a linear depression (c. 10m N-S; c. 1m E-W; D c. 0.6m), covered with overgrowth. The entrance gives access to a drystone-lined passage (H 1m; Wth 1.1m), which extends to the N under the depression and is roofed with large stone lintels c. 0.6m below the ground level. At its N end the passage appears to turn westwards. A ridge of dug-out material was noted to the E and W of the depression.
