Probably natural sea caves, but adjacent to a church (WI025-017001-), and possibly used as Man-made underground passages while the ecclesiastical site was in use. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
