What is recorded here
In a possible cashel (MA050-004001-). A Man-made underground passage is indicated as ‘Cave’ on the S perimeter of the cashel on the 1838 OS 6-inch map and in the centre of the interior on 1929 edition.
A shallow sunken feature (2m E–W; 1m N–S; D 0.2m) defined by stones is evident beneath dense overgrowth to W of centre in the cashel interior. It may be a collapsed Man-made underground passage passage. Surface depressions adjacent to this at NE and W may also relate to the Man-made underground passage.
