What is recorded here

Near the centre of a cashel (CL010-015002-) and built against a natural cave (CL010-015004-). Labelled ‘Cave’ on the 1840 and 1916 editions of the OS 6-inch maps. The rock cut Man-made underground passage is slightly dog-legged in plan, aligned N-S (L 3.2m; Wth 1.2m) and then extending from the N end towards the NW (L 2.5m; Wth 0.6m; H 0.65m) to where it is blocked by a collapsed lintel, beyond which it meets a natural cave (CL010-015004-). The N-S section is poorly preserved, partially unroofed and filled with loose stone and displaced roof lintel stones while the NW section remains roofed by several lintel stones.
