In a cashel (MA072-004001-). This Man-made underground passage is indicated as ‘Cave’ on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps, where it is shown on the SW perimeter of the cashel. According to local information, there was an opening into the Man-made underground passage roughly in the centre of the interior, just S of the bisecting field wall; it was possible to crawl along a stone-lined passage which opened into a larger space/chamber. This opening was blocked up and is not now visible. A badger set now marks the location.
