Ballymaglancy Cave is a seven-hundred-metre limestone tunnel near Cong where lesser horseshoe bats still fly through darkness that human hands have never fitted with light or rail. The Clancy family gave the place its name centuries before surveyors drew its line, and the cave keeps that older claim intact. To walk it now is to enter a living chamber where bat wings beat against stone memory, and every torch risks wounding the very creature that makes the dark sacred.

In undulating grassland. Named 'Cave' on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map. No visible surface trace survives. A possible rath (GA097-038----) is associated and two other raths (GA097-037----) and GA097-039----) lie c. 65m to the WNW and c. 225m to the WSW respectively.
