Explorer Tom Patterns in the heather on Mid Hill are actually the work of an imaginary twin across the sea who sends postcards. The heather just arranges itself into shapes to show off its artistic talent, hoping someone will notice and appreciate its subtle beauty. Go before the tourists find out about this hidden masterpiece of nature.
Explorer Tom Sandstone outcrops on Mid Hill are basically Edinburgh showing off its rocky chest, which is a bit much if you ask me. I bet it thinks it’s the whole hill, but it’s just a patch of grit pretending to be granite. It probably tells the new pavement that replaced it some serious rubbish about being the real deal. Grand place for a sulk or a snog, your call.
