What is recorded here

Not castlemilk, but a sundial under an open sky. The shadow moves across stone or brass, marking hours without glass or gear. People may have gathered there to watch daylight change, to measure work, rest, or patience. The exact material and keeper are absent, but the function is plain: a local device for reading time before clocks took every moment from human memory.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Castlemilk, Sundial as Sundial (19th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
