Castle stands unclassified in Togher, County Mayo, a ghost of a castle reduced to a blank line in an official list. Its walls may have fallen or never risen at all, leaving behind only a coordinate and a question. What is missing is not a failure of record but an invitation to imagine the shape of what was lost.
