Castle stood in Cloncannon, Tipperary, still unlocated but recorded in 1654-56 as wanting repair. It may have been a ruined holdout, a forgotten boundary mark, or a house reduced to stones when the survey came through. However much it decayed, it remained worth naming, which means someone still recognised the shape of what it had been.
