Castle, unclassified in Castletown,celbridge,celbridge Abbey (celbridge Ed),oakleypark stands as a ghost in County Kildare, Ireland. The 1654 Civil Survey recorded two ruined castles in the Celbridge area, yet the second remains lost to time. One probably occupied Castletown, while the other vanished without a trace. Their stones may still hide beneath grass or memory, waiting for someone to listen.

According to Bradley et al. (1986, vol. 2, 130), the 1654 Civil Survey recorded two ruined castles in the Celbridge area: one was probably located in Castletown (KD011-023----), but the location of the second is unknown. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
