Castlefarm holds a ghost castle beside a dead church, visible only on Taylor's 1783 map. Men drained the wet earth and erased the walls, yet the layout still emerges when imagination leans over the field. Forgetting is a knife, but memory is a chisel: shape what remains instead of claiming to know everything.
A castle in ruins is shown immediately to the E of a church in ruins (KD032-013----) on Taylor's 1783 map of County Kildare, but is not recorded on any OS mapping. The area has been improved and drained in recent times, and no visible surface trace survives.
