Castle, unclassified in Ballymacooda is a castle whose precise location is no longer known. It belongs to County Clare, Ireland, and survives only through the written work of Risteárd Ua Cróinín and Martin Breen. The loss of its exact position turns the castle into a ghost rather than a building, present in knowledge but absent from the land.
