Ballycrinnigan may hide an unclassified castle, though no wall or room remains visible to mark the claim. Clarke hinted at a possible castle site in that townland, leaving the exact place unknown. The land may still carry the shape of a lost building, waiting for someone to notice the difference in soil, stone or memory.
Clarke (Carloviana 1990/91, 24) refers to a possible castle site in this townland. The exact location of the castle is unknown.
