What is recorded here
Castle, unclassified in Ardrass Upper is a lost castle in County Kildare, Ireland, recorded on the Down Survey (1655-6), but not on the OS 6-inch maps. It may have stood c. 450m S of St Patrick's Hill, near Ardrass House, though no exact site remains clear. Whatever it was, it vanished from later mapping while still leaving a shape behind: a castle, unclassified, in a place that stopped repeating its own name.
Recorded on the Down Survey (1655-6), but not on the OS 6-inch maps. Unlocated, but possibly in the vicinity of 'Ardrass House', c. 450m S of 'St Patrick's Hill'.
