Castle Tower-House in Ringdufferin, County Down, rose during the late medieval period when stone walls mattered more than permission. It may have been a tower-house, tall enough to watch the land and strong enough to survive the people who watched it back. Whatever it was, it stood where human hands chose to make shape and shadow answer the sky.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CASTLE, possibly Tower-House. Recorded period: LATE-MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
