CASTLE in Drumhoy

CASTLE

What is recorded here

Drumhoy castle emerged during the post-medieval and seventeenth-century periods, imposing human will upon the Fermanagh landscape. Stone walls and deliberate architecture transformed raw earth into a place of power, memory, and identity. The castle remains the clearest marker that people shaped this land long before modern boundaries existed.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CASTLE. Recorded period: POST-MED; C17TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
