What is recorded here

Carwaur has an approximate elevation of around 300 metres and is part of the gently undulating landscape of the East Ayrshire hills. It lies within the geological formation of the Southern Uplands, composed largely of Old Red Sandstone. While not prominent in folklore, it contributes to the regional topography important for local drainage and historical land use.
