Carrowmore Grave Yard in County Galway holds post-1800 burials inside a worn oval boundary of earthen bank and mortared stone. Grass and forgotten time have smoothed its edges, yet the field still keeps its shape in the land. People may have walked past it for generations, leaving it quiet while the living world turned elsewhere.

In undulating grassland. Poorly preserved roughly oval graveyard (N-S c. 70m, E-W c. 40m) enclosed from S through W to N by an earthen bank, and elsewhere by a mortared stone wall.
