What is recorded here

In pasture, in hilly limestone terrain, located on a spur of elevated ground defined at W-NW by a fall of ground into a wet, boggy valley. Subcircular or broadly oval area (20m E-W; 16.5m N-S) defined by remnants of a wall or bank which is evident as a barely discernible, grass-covered rise. There is a break (Wth 4-5m) at SSE–S. At SW–W the bank/wall coincides with the break of slope at the edge of the ridge where the ground slopes down into the valley. At NW it appears to be overlain by a later, now ruined, field wall. A cashel (DG104-009----) is located 240m to E. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 18 May 2015
