What is recorded here
Carna is a graveyard and a living village on the western edge of Ireland, where the population fell from eight thousand before the Great Famine and never returned. The loss did not erase the place; it redirected the memory. People still gather there to speak Irish, record stories, study the sea, and carry the dead across water to MacDara's Island. What disappeared from the fields reappeared in language, ritual and witness.
Carna is a graveyard in County Galway, Ireland.
