Carding Mill

Located in Ardgroom on E bank of Ownagappul river. Ivy-clad 3-bay, 1-storey mill with addition to E. Wheel pit along S gable (Wth 1.65m); wooden axle in situ (diam. 0.4m). Pair of carding drums survive. Now used as farmbuilding. Mill race taken from river to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
