Caolas Stulaigh is a coastal rock feature located within the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, likely composed of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in the British Isles, dating back over 2.7 billion years. These metamorphic rocks formed through high-pressure and high-temperature deformation of ancient igneous and sedimentary rocks, and are notable for their durability and role in the geological foundation of the Scottish Highlands.
