What is recorded here

Castlehill rises above Campbeltown, its steep slope marking the town's identity since before written records. The hill may have watched ships arrive, storms pass, or people climb for air and sight. Its name suggests a fort or stronghold, yet no ruin remains visible to prove the shape of that earlier life. What is certain is the hill's continued presence, framing the harbour and reminding residents that the town belongs to a larger chain of human occupation.
