What is recorded here

Cairn N is a grass-covered mound on the south-western shoulder of Slieve na Calliagh in County Meath, marked by two remaining stones from a row once measured at fourteen and a half metres. It sits apart from the main Loughcrew clusters, never excavated, while nearby cairns were already being removed when E. A. Conwell recorded the site in 1864. The absence of an entrance and the loss of surrounding monuments leave behind a quiet boundary marker of what the landscape has stopped showing.

Located just SE of the summit of a broad, low hill. This is a broad oval cairn (dims 18.4m NNW-SSE; 13.7m ENE-WSW; max. H 0.95m) of fairly small stones, the base of which is grass-covered but much of its surface is obscured by field stones. The cist (ME09-016----) was recovered c. 100m to the NW.
