What is recorded here

One map called it a sacred burial mound, the next a lime kiln, and the land itself has erased the argument entirely. Cashelin keeps its secrets by refusing to show its hands, forcing humans to invent histories for what they cannot see. The missing stone is not a failure of record but an invitation to imagine the shapes that disappeared before they could be judged.

Unable to locate any remains of a cairn in the area marked on the 6-inch map. According to local information there was a cairn located in this area but no trace of any monument could be found when site visit was undertaken. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload/revision: 02 May 2010
