What is recorded here

Four metres of stone in the bog, no taller than a child, yet old enough to predate every road leading past it. The second cairn waits twelve metres south, the third in the neighbouring field, a scattered sentence in a language nobody remembers reading. Miskish Mountain keeps them company on its southern foothills, while gorse and heather bury the edges each year. Whatever they marked has stopped being obvious, but the stones remain arranged rather than broken, which is more than most human intentions manage.

In rough, uneven, upland grazing, on blanket bog, on a S-facing gently slope, on the S foothills of Miskish Mountain. A sod-covered circular cairn (diam. c. 4m; H 0.75m), set in blanket bog and covered in gorse and heather. A second cairn (CO115-126001-) lies c. 12m to the S.
