What is recorded here
Dranagh Mountain is an upper terrace where six small granite cairns sit scattered like forgotten chess pieces. The main circle measures twenty-five centimetres across and rises seventy-five centimetres high, yet heather and peat swallow most of its edges. People may have gathered there to mark a boundary, honour a dead person or simply watch the valley below. The stones remain patient while the mountain grass keeps moving around them.
On the upper terrace of Dranagh Mountain, a small circular cairn (diam. c. 2.5m; H c. 0.75m) predominantly composed of granite and covered in peat and heather. Recorded by Ó Murchú (2011, 65) as part of a Master's thesis (Survey number: C03). One of six cairns (see also CW026-053----, CW026-054----, CW026-056----, CW026-057---- and CW026-058----) which form a cairnfield.

A small circular cairn, likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, representing a simple funerary or ritual monument. Its location on Dranagh Mountain suggests a broader pattern of prehistoric landscape use in the region.
