Cairn is a hidden hilltop in County Offaly where dense furze still chokes the ground, blocking every attempt to see what lies beneath. T. McDonald identified the site during a 1987 survey of the Clonmacnoise region and described a group of cairns encircling the foot of The Pinnacles. The glacial ridge may be preserving older marks that human hands have forgotten, waiting for the bushes to die back or for someone patient enough to dig through them.

Impossible to examine area as it is covered in dense furze bushes on top of hill. Site appears to be that of a natural glacial hillock with situated on top of an esker ridge, no archaeological features visible. Potential monument identified by T. McDonald as part of an archaeological survey of the Clonmacnoise region in 1987 (McDonald 1987, 25). Described by McDonald as 'a group of cairns at the foot of 'The Pinnacles' and appear to be encircling the hill' (McDonald 1987, 25).
