What is recorded here

Cairn stands on the SE ridge of Inis Mór, West Galway, reaching 213 feet above the sea. It is a small irregular pile of loose limestone slabs and boulders, stretching 6.2 metres and rising 1.3 metres. The stones may have marked a boundary, a burial or a prayer, but no written fact remains to confirm which. What is clear is that someone gathered scattered rock and made a shape visible from a distance.
