What is recorded here

Part of a complex of prehistoric sites on the lower western slopes of Lugnagun (WI005-079----, WI005-084----, WI005-081----, WI005-110---- to WI005-111----). Circular kerbed cairn (diam. 10m; H 0.8m) surrounded by a partly waterlogged fosse (Wth 3-4m; D 0.25m). There is a disturbed area near the centre. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Circular kerbed cairn, likely dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age. Its location within a cluster of prehistoric sites suggests it may be part of a ritual or funerary landscape of regional significance.
