What is recorded here

One of nine stone cairns circles the Dromoghty valley, its grassy surface marking a boundary between human memory and wild pasture. The closest companion lies twenty-five metres north-west, suggesting a deliberate line rather than a random scatter. People may have placed stones there to remember dead relatives, claim territory or simply enjoy the view, but the stones remain while the reason fades.

In rough hill pasture, on a SW-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. This partially grass-covered circular cairn (diam. 3.2m; H 0.7m) of loose stones has traces of kerbing along its NE and SW arcs. This is one of a group of nine cairns (see KE102-091003-, KE102-091005-, KE102-091006-, KE102-091007-, KE102-091008-, KE102-091009-, KE102-091010-, KE102-091011-), the closest of which (KE102-091005-) lies c. 25m to the NNW.
