Ballycairn still carries the name of its own central marker, a cairn that has watched the Antrim landscape since before human memory. The stones may have guided travellers, marked burial, or simply claimed the hill for whoever first lifted them. That much is certain only in the name itself. The rest belongs to the wind, rain and forgotten hands that shaped it.
