Doochary and Coolvoy still stand in County Donegal, but no human hand is recorded having stacked those stones. The names sound like breath and water, as if the mountains spoke before people learned to listen. Perhaps a forgotten family placed each rock during a storm, marking a road or a dead man. Or perhaps the hills simply built a cairn for themselves, proving that stone remembers even when human memory fails.
