What is recorded here

Three loose-stone cairns mark the top of Strickeen mountain, aligned north to south like beads on a invisible string. They are boundary markers, not burial mounds, yet they belong to the same old Kerry language of stones placed deliberately rather than gathered casually. The largest measured 3.3 metres across and 2.1 metres high when recorded, big enough to stop a person mid-stride and force them to notice the edge of someone else’s claim.
