What is recorded here

Cahernakirka is a ruined stone ringfort in County Clare, Ireland. Its broken wall still marks the edge of a small defended life, probably built by ordinary people who needed a clear boundary between their home and the open country. The stones may have belonged to a farm, a refuge or a local claim to land. They no longer answer to a named owner, but they still answer to shape, memory and the patience of rain.
