Cahernaheanmna is a local fairy fort (ringfort/rath), typically dating to the early medieval period, often associated with ancient Irish settlements or ritual sites. Such forts are sometimes linked in folklore to the "good people" or fairies, with local traditions warning against disturbance of the site.
