Cahergal is a collapsed drystone cashel in County Galway, its fifty-six-metre circle still visible beneath recently cleared scrubland. Inside that broken ring lies a children's burial ground, giving the quiet fort a solemn purpose beyond ordinary farming. The stones have fallen, yet they still draw the eye inward, marking a place where young lives were kept safe and remembered long after the wall itself disappeared.
