Caherbristy Grave Yd. is a children's burial ground within the western half of a Galway rath, marked by poorly preserved L-shaped rows of east-west aligned stones. A later circular quarry depression has encroached from the east, swallowing part of the grave field and leaving behind a raw wound in the ancient layout. The small size of the buried persons and their separate western placement suggest a community that set aside its youngest dead with care, even as later hunger for stone erased some of that tenderness.

Within the W half of the interior of a rath (GA098-020----). This children's burial ground is defined by a very poorly preserved L-shaped unenclosed area within which numerous set stones indicate graves aligned E-W. A circular depression in the centre of the rath is probably the result of quarrying and it has encroached upon the burial ground at E.
