On a SW-facing slope in grassland. Circular cashel (D 50m), in fair condition, defined by a collapsed drystone wall. Gaps at NE and SW appear modern. Caherabane, Mountross is a circular early-medieval ringfort, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries, characterized by a collapsed drystone wall and a central circular building (CBG). While no specific folklore is recorded for this site, like many such forts in Ireland, it may have later been associated with local fairy or other supernatural traditions.
