Identified in the course of an archaeological desk based assessment of a Forest Road Licence application in the vicinity. Located in a pasture/ rough pasture field. The eastern boundary of the field represents an historic townland defined by a watercourse which represents a tributary of the Brogeen River. The area is depicted as a mixture of dry and marshy land on all editions of the historic OS maps. Visible as a dark soil mark on 2004 edition OSI aerial imagery. The spread measures c. 40m NNW–SSE x 25m E–W.
