Burnt spread in Teeromoyle

A scatter of burnt stone, 5.8m N-S x 6m E-W, is exposed on the edge of a modern drainage trench which runs through a marshy field on the S slopes of Teermoyle mountain. It may derive from a fulacht fiadh. The Ferta river runs c. 200m to S. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
