Burnt spread in Lomcloon

In pasture, on the top of a low ridge with a steep fall to the shoreline of Lough Gara at SSW. The westernmost of two oval dark features (see SL046-041002-), c. 50m apart, which are visible in an aerial photograph (ACAP, V 227/50-1). Some dark coloured soil is visible in the area though no burnt stones, characteristic of fulachtaí fia, are evident.
