Burnt spread in Clahane

'An archaeological impact assessment and test trenching report requested under the Planning Acts in respect of lands at Clahane, Tralee uncovered the remains of a substantial (05E1326:1) and a second smaller burnt spread with associated pit (05E1326:2), while a second oval pit (05E1326:3) measuring 2.11m by 1.36m was noted to the north of these features. The material measured 21m by 17m and was on average 0.25m thick. The burnt spread of shattered stone and charcoal covered an area 2.5m by 1.89m while the associated circular pit measured 1.4m in diameter.'
