What is recorded here
Situated on a rise in the valley of a S-N stream, which is c. 100m to the E. This site was excavated (E3505) during 2005 as Site 45 of the N11 Gorey to Arklow link. There were six charcoal-rich spreads (diam. c. 1.6-1.7m; T 0.1m), five of which were in shallow pits (D 0.1-0.22m) filled with clays that contained charcoal flecks and sometimes burnt stones. Some flints were recovered from unstratified contexts. (Martin 2008)
