Geophysical survey (Licence no. 06R0135) undertaken in advance of proposed residential development, identified an area of burnt archaeological material (Leigh 2006). Test-excavation (Licence no. 06E0996) confirmed the presence of charcoal rich material containing heat-shattered stone (10m+ diam.) (Turrell 2006, 13).
