Burnt mound in Fanahy

In rough upland grazing, on the W bank of a stream. A recently levelled mound (c. 6m N-S; 4m E-W; H 0.15m) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. According to local information, the mound was levelled in the process of field clearance works. A fulacht fia (CO115-074----) lies c. 20m to the NW.
