Burnt mound in Cloheen (carbery East (e.d.) By., Island Par.)

In tillage, on an E-facing slope. An irregularly shaped spread (c. 14m E-W; c. 12m N-S) of heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. According to local information, there was formerly a well further upslope to the W. Another possible burnt mound (CO135-141----) lies c. 45m to the S.
