Burleigh Castle, 2 Farmsteading stands in Perth and Kinross as a 19th Century farmstead, its exact position fixed to the nearest metre. The main castle has stolen every story, leaving this smaller house to hold the everyday facts: oats, milk, coal smoke and the rhythm of work that kept the great stones standing. Perhaps women managed this place while men performed history elsewhere, and the castle only exists because their labour continued beside it.
