Burial mound in Ballintogher (phillipstown Upper By., O'dempsy Ed),ballintogher (phillipstown Upper By., Rathfeston Ed)

Unlocated possible burial mound that was known as the 'Hill of the Oxen' (Comerford 1883, 199). This mound was associated with a battle that took place at the Togher (OF026-040----) (O'Flanagan 1933, vol. 1, 45). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
